Story Mode is where stable progression matters more than chasing every high-rarity name. Build one carry, support it, and avoid wasting upgrade resources across too many units.

Cost curve matters
A high-ceiling unit can feel bad in Story if it needs too much setup before the map stabilizes.
Support after damage
Support, range, slow, buff, and utility matter after your team has enough early wave damage.
Codes accelerate
Update codes help with rerolls and materials, but they should support a plan instead of causing random spending.
Progression order
- Claim working codes and avoid spending rerolls immediately.
- Build one reliable damage unit for the current chapter.
- Add support or range only when damage alone stops solving waves.
- Move into Infinite, Rift, Boss Rush, or event routes after Story clears become stable.

This shortlist favors seed DPS, manageable SPA, and range. Replace any entry if your actual upgraded screen or passive effect performs differently.
